At Miniature American Shepherd, quality, not quantity, is our watchword. We believe that breeding is an art that requires responsibility, dedication, and a profound respect for life. Our philosophy is based on three fundamental pillars:
1. Health and Genetics:
The health of our dogs is our top priority. All our breeding dogs undergo regular veterinary checkups and the recommended genetic testing for the main hereditary diseases (such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye diseases, MDR1, etc.). This allows us to select matings that minimize risks and ensure healthy, robust litters.
2. Personality and Socialization:
A Miniature American Shepherd is a bright and sensitive dog. Therefore, from the first weeks of life, our puppies follow a carefully designed stimulation and socialization program. They grow up in a home environment rich in positive stimuli, becoming accustomed to different noises, people, and situations. Our goal is to provide new families with curious, confident puppies ready to face the world with the right attitude.
3. Respect for the Breed Standard:
We work passionately to preserve and enhance the characteristics that make the Miniature American Shepherd unique. We select our dogs not only for their health and temperament, but also for their adherence to the official ENCI/FCI morphological standard, striving to produce typical, harmonious, and functional specimens.
